Presentation Title Common Stucco Problems and Repairs Presented By Lee Cope, P.E.Lee Cope Director of Restoration Southern Wall Systems Presentation Synopsis Discuss common problems associated with stucco and sources of distress. The presentation will also discuss common repairs for each source of distress. Biography  Mr. Cope is a licensed Professional Engineer who has extensive experience in detailing and proper installation of portland cement plaster (stucco) and Exterior Insulation Finishing System (EIFS) facade systems, air barriers, window systems, waterproofing, and the interfaces of various envelope components.  From May of 1999 to March of 2018 Mr. Cope worked at Wiss, Janney, Elstner where he evaluated a variety of structures relating to water intrusion and to the cause and/or distress of a building’s exterior facade/curtain wall systems and building envelope/structural systems. Since March of 2018, Mr. Cope has led the Restoration Division of Southern Wall Systems (SWS) where he has overseen the Preconstruction and Operations of all their Restoration Work. Since then, SWS has completed over $100 Million worth of Restoration Work. This work has consisted of reclads (stucco, EIFS, Masonry, and Hardie Cement Siding), waterproofing and concrete structural repairs.
