DESCRIPTION:Presenter: Merissa Gamba\, PE\, SE \nPresentation Title: Georgia Tech Campus Center Case Study \nBio\nMerissa has over 20 years of experience in a wide variety of projects. She joined Uzun + Case in 1999 and was named a Principal in 2018. Her project experience includes higher education\, institutional\, public use\, commercial\, and mixed use developments. She likes the challenge of unusual and complicated projects such as the Georgia and Mississippi aquariums\, Kennesaw State Recreation Center and Parcel A at 760 Ralph McGill Blvd. \nPresentation Summary\n\nThis presentation starts with a basic introduction to the Georgia Tech Campus Center program.\nThe presentation will then briefly cover the newly constructed buildings and their features.\nThe presentation will then focus on the retrofitting of the late 1960’s existing concrete framed building.\nThe program will wrap up with a discussion of some challenges and lessons learned.
