Georgia Chapter ICRI hosted its first meeting in 2014 on a balmy cold January day amazing full house crowd of 58 members and guests at the Perimeter Maggianos in Atlanta, GA.

Kurt gave some outstanding examples of how non destructive testing can assist projects. Our first ever “safety minute” discussed ICRI safety guideline 120.1.

Many guests were present, several of whom were brought by Board members heeding the challenge from the Membership Committee challenge. Nine Chapter past presidents and one former National P, Chuck Knight, were in attendance.

The Chapter was proud to announce the fact that all the meeting dates for the year have been set and are being posted to the website.  Seven out of eight technical programs have been confirmed as well. Our Chapter golf tournament is confirmed for May and the newly formed social committee is organizing a social event for the during the June/ July break.

This month there were a record number of pre- registrations along with a record number of registrants that pre-paid on the website. Everyone enjoyed the buffet style lunch from Maggianos.

Structural sponsored the meeting and talked a little about their company and provided a door prize drawing. The scholarship committee sold raffle tickets for the 50/50 raffle and another door prize.
